Roe Sauce
Crème fraîche and mayonnaise blended smooth in MyBlend 3, finished with roe stirred in by hand. The base is done in seconds. The roe is added after so the texture stays whole. A very Swedish sauce that works on everything from baked potato to blinis.
Ingredients
- 150ml crème fraîche
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh dill or chives
- 50g vendace roe (löjrom or stenbitsrom)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Add crème fraîche, mayonnaise, lemon juice and dill to your MyBlend 3.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into a bowl and gently stir in the roe.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve.
Tip: Stir the roe in gently with a spoon rather than blending to keep the texture intact.
