The story behind the motifs
The two Moomin motifs used on our MyBlend 3 originate from the cartoons "Moomin falls in love" and "Moomins desert island". Both stories were originally serialized in the London Evening News in the 1950s.
The Moomin comic strips of the 1950s, created by Finnish artist Tove Jansson, played a pivotal role in catapulting the Moomins to international fame. First published in the London Evening News in 1954, the comics reached millions of readers worldwide, introducing Jansson’s whimsical world of the Moominvalley and its quirky inhabitants to a broader audience.
